Mastering Doubles

Do you consider yourself the type of doubles player who would rather stay back and lob than rush the net? Or do you favor charging the net and playing aggressively? Either way, what style should your partner play? What styles are most successful at your level, and when should you try a different strategy during a match?

These are important and helpful questions, and some of the answers may surprise you. Do you want to know why you always lose to a "certain" doubles team? NHSTA can help answer these questions and improve your overall doubles game.

Mastering Doubles will be a six-week adult tennis clinic scheduled to begin as soon as we have enough participants.

Junior Tennis Programs

NHSTA will  be conducting several junior tennis programs focusing on developing both the physical and mental aptitude needed to push each player to that next level. These programs will be geared to junior players who are already playing tennis, and those who are just starting to explore the game. Students MUST be dedicated to learning, listening, and hard work.

Many of us dream of becoming a champion. But what, exactly, is a champion? Certainly, it is someone who wins. But is winning the only ingredient in becoming a champion? I believe champions are winners because they don't fear losing. NHSTA students learn that to become successful in tennis as in life, they will have to face failure along the way.

Failures are only temporary tests that prepare us for future triumphs.

We love the sport of tennis and believe that a good tennis game is a great friend for life.

What is Little Tennis?
A lifetime family sport

Little Tennis is the nation's tennis equivalent to Little League Baseball, soccer or basketball. The program has been designed by the United States Professional Tennis Association -- the world's largest and oldest organization of tennis-teaching professionals. It includes a structured program of lessons and play designed to move children ages 3-10 quickly through the transitional stages of graduated equipment to full-court tennis.

Little Tennis now has over 2,000 participating professionals and sites around the nation and is the fastest growing program for children in the world.

You may find a teaching professional who offers Little Tennis near you by clicking the "Find-a-Pro" menu button on the left or calling the USPTA at (800) USPTA-4U.
